“China-US Business Summit • 2012 Reunion” Ended Successfully

Today more than 50 member entrepreneurs of the China-US Business Summit Members’ Club from across the country gathered in the Beijing 798 French Red Wine Art Center to participate in the member feedback event of “China-US Business Summit • 2012 Reunion” jointly organized by the China-US Business Summit and Peking University HSBC Business School.

This event is a large-scale member exchange activity held in China after the Summit 2012 to fulfill the commitment of “the summit never ends and provides service every day”. With the theme of “being thankful, giving back and sharing”, the event aims to deepen exchanges between the club members. 


The activity was held in a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. The organizing committee specially invited Mr. Weilie Xie who served as live host in the China-US Business Summit 2010 and China-US Business Summit 2011 and anchor of Capital Economic Report on Beijing TV and Ms. Li Li, executive president of the New York Chapter of China-US Business Summit to co-chair the event.

Organizing Committee recalled the memorable moments of the third China-US Business Summit with the members by showing the "China-US Business Summit Electronic Album".

In order to thank the members for their constant support the Summit, the organizing committee particularly presented a tailored warm gift for the attending members. The splendid moments of each participant during the Summit in the United States were recorded in an electronic album accompanied by music poetry and edited pictures. (If you are a summit member who did not participate in the activity of Reunion, you could contact the organizing committee directly to obtain a warm gift especially prepared for you by the organizing committee.)

Through recommendation by the summit, Ms. Xue Cao, Manager of the international business department, Oriental Performing Arts Group was successfully admitted to Harvard University and graduated from the “Harvard Leadership Training Program”. Cao participated in the activity and sang a song. 


During the event, the organizing committee showed summit members the statistics suggesting the overall advancement of this summit through PPTs, which directly reflected the solid achievements of the summit under the joint efforts of our members.

1 109 entrepreneurs obtained a visa to the United States because of the China-US Business Summit and attended the China-US Business Summit for the first time.

   2 10 people attended the China-US Business Summit for the second time, accounting for 8% of the total number of participants this year.

   3 The China-US Business Summit was held in 3 major cities including Los Angeles, Las Vegas and New York this year.

6 6 people successfully obtained permanent residency through the summit, accounting for 5% of the total number of participants in this year.

   8 This year, 8 participating entrepreneurs who used to be denied in visa application obtained a visa to the United States due to the invitation of the China-US Business Summit.

   9 9 participating entrepreneurs applied for overseas studies in the United States for their children through the summit organizing committee, accounting for 7% of the total number of participants this year.

 18 Currently 18 people are applying for permanent residency in the U.S. through the summit. This figure accounts for 14% of the Chinese entrepreneurs attending the summit this year.  

   23 Entrepreneurs attending the 3rd China-US Business Summit are from a total of 23 provinces and cities.

   67 This summit lasted for 12 days. As of today, a total of 67 China-US docking projects are under way.

 162 A total of 162 volunteers participated in the summit-related services this year.

   500 Over 500 Chinese and American entrepreneurs conducted exchanges during the summit this year.

   1,000,000 7 people from the Shanxi Shenmu County Longyan Coal Co., Ltd attending the current China-US Business Summit went to casinos in Las Vegas and won a total of over one million dollars.

   2,000,000,000 The annual turnover of the enterprises 8 members of the China-US Business Summit work for exceeded 2 billion.


event of “Reunion” received strong support and sponsorship from Xinmin Dai, vice president of Peking University HSBC Business School Alumni Association and chairman of Huashi Kangyuan Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. To express gratitude to Mr. Dai for his constant support for the summit, the summit organizing committee specially appointed Mr. Xinmin Dai as member of the China-US Business Summit Advisory Committee, and the summit chairman Mr. Steven Shen awarded the honorary certificate to Mr. Dai at the event.

In order to implement the commitment of “the summit never ends and provides service every day” thoroughly, the Organizing Committee particularly arranged the link of “Services Items Release” w0068ere the staff of the organizing committee explained nine major services provided by the summit to attending entrepreneurs. President of Harbin Vocational and Technical College Beiming Meng attending the “2012 Reunion” especially announced a good news to share with the members: Through the platform of China-US Business Summit, the China-US cooperation in special education and vocational education had entered a substantive negotiation stage. Harbin Vocational and Technical College had reached a training partnership with the famous UNLV School of Hotel Management in Las Vegas. On July 9, the first batch of trainees composed by 22 of the college executives would go to receive training in the United States. This is the first time that China's private institution organizes a delegation to conduct educational cooperation and exchanges in the United States. Of course, this is just one of the numerous successful matched projects of China-US Business Summit.

In addition to customized gifts prepared by the Organizing Committee, a lucky draw was also held during the event. Five luckly members won the first, second and third prize. The special prize was a piece of autograph calligraphy prepared by Mu Ma, Dean of Chinese Poetry and Literature Painting Academy and Artist for the State Guest Gift of the State Council at the scene.The last part of the event was a free exchange dinner of the entrepreneurs. Accompanied by exquisite meals and mellow French wine, the friendship of the members was greatly deepened.

 

The “China-US Business Summit • 2012 Reunion” ended successfully in the pleasant exchanges of Chinese and American entrepreneurs. However the services of the summit did not come to an end.
